Ang Thong Marine Park by Big Boat

Adult ฿1100

Ang Thong National Marine Park

Ang Thong National Marine Park is one of the main landmark of the Gulf of Thailand. The park comprises 42 islands, most of which are uninhabitated. You will have an unforgettale journey on a classic Thai tourist boat. You will have a chance to admire the beauty of the marine park while the boat cruises between the islands. The journey from the Nathon pier to the first stop on Koh Mae Ko takes 1,5 hours which is only twice longer than a journey by speedboat (45 minutes by speedboat).

Koh Mae Ko

The first stop on your adventure is Koh Mae Ko. You will get to the shore on kayaks and will admire the rich sealife of the park through the crystal clear water on the way. If no 'kayaking' option chosen, you will be delivered to the shore by classic Thai longtail boat. Koh Mae was once a mighty volcano. The legend says that the islands of the park have been created by its eruption. Nowadays the volcano is extinct and its crater houses the Talay Nai lake, also famous by the name 'Emerald lagoon'. After the ascent to the island's viewpoint you will be rewarded by the amazing views over the park and the emerald lake.

Time for lunch

Your next stop is the Koh Wua Talap inhabitated by wild monkeys. While the boat passes incredibly picturesque islands, you will be served lunch of Thai food and fresh fruit. You will be able to enjoy the buffet and admire the beauty of the national park.

Koh Wua Talap

Koh Wua Talap is famous for its perfect beach with fine white sand. You will have a possibility to venture into the sea on a kayak, paddle around the neighbouring island, through the natural grottos and past the wild beaches and hidden bays. If no 'kayaking' option was chosen, the island itself will offer you many attractions. You can take the path to ascend to the island's highest point (500 m) and take in the breathtaking views of Angthong marine park. Or visit the Bua Boke cave with its unique stalactites and stalagmites. Or watch the wild monkeys on the beach. Take a swim, suntan or enjoy the underwater world of Angthong marine park with snorkeling gear.
