Angthong Marine Park Tour by Speed Boat

Embarking on a journey aboard a comfortable speedboat, you will have the opportunity to fully appreciate the incredible beauty of Ang Thong National Marine Park, which consists of 42 islands. The first stop on your adventure will be Wua Island, home to an astonishingly rich marine life. Equipped with a mask and snorkel, you will discover an unimaginable underwater world teeming with numerous inhabitants. Parrotfish, sea urchins, rays, neon fish, and colorful corals will amaze you.

Emerald Lagoon

The next stop on your adventure will be Mae Ko Island, which translates to "Mother Island" in Thai. Legend has it that the eruption of this ancient volcano formed the islands of Ang Thong National Marine Park. Today, the volcano is considered extinct, and its crater is home to Talay Nai Lake, better known as the "Emerald Lagoon." Climbing to the observation deck, you will be treated to a magnificent view of the lake and Ang Thong National Park. You can also descend to the base of the lake via convenient steps to admire it up close.

Tamarin Beach

Here, you will be offered a kayaking trip (included in the price) along rocky grottos and wild beaches. After a delicious lunch at the island's restaurant, you can catch your breath from the new impressions and emotions, and relax on the beach.

Wua Talap Island

But that's not all! The next stop on our excursion will be Wua Talap Island, inhabited by wild monkeys. The golden beach and untouched nature will create an atmosphere of comfort reminiscent of a true paradise. You can visit the Lotus Cave with its unique stalactites and stalagmites or climb to the observation deck, located 500 meters above sea level, offering an unparalleled view of Ang Thong National Marine Park and its magnificent islands.

It was a really nice tour! We loved the different islands we stopped at and the snorkeling. We also loved how there were good vegetarian options for lunch, like tofu and vegetables. We had a great time!! Thanks so much.
The best parts were the last island, where we relaxed on the beach, and the snorkeling.

We booked the tour online through the website. We received the booking confirmation and an online payment link via WhatsApp. Booking through the website was several times cheaper than buying from the local tour kiosks, and definitely much cheaper than booking through the hotel.

As for Ang Thong Marine Park - it was absolutely beautiful! 100% worth visiting.

Be sure to bring good sports shoes, as there is quite a steep climb to the viewpoints. It is also a good idea to carry some cash, as cards are not accepted on some of the islands.

Definitely check the weather forecast before going. If the weather is rainy or windy, the boat can rock quite heavily on the waves, which can sometimes be scary. However, we always felt safe. The speedboat has a toilet, cold drinking water is provided, and there is a fantastic lunch served on the island.

I also highly recommend bringing an action camera with a floating grip or a waterproof phone case. There are so many beautiful spots both in the water and on land that you will definitely want to capture some memories.

One more recommendation: I wouldn't book two island tours on consecutive days. It is better to take a 1-2 day break between trips.

If you get seasick, sit at the back of the boat. If you enjoy a bit of excitement and are travelling without children, the front of the boat is definitely the most fun!

The tour was perfectly organized, everything ran smoothly without any issues. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking! The emerald lake surrounded by towering cliffs looked unreal, and the panoramic view from the viewpoint was definitely worth the challenging hike.

The Ang Thong tour was definitely the highlight of our trip. It was absolutely incredible! We had an amazing guide, and the snorkeling was unforgettable. Swimming through a cave felt like a real adventure, and we were as excited as kids. We visited some truly beautiful places, and the atmosphere was fantastic thanks to the guides. We even spotted a monkey on the way to the viewpoint!

The next day we joined the Koh Tao & Nang Yuan tour, and everyone absolutely loved it. We snorkeled three or four times, and it was amazing. We even saw little sharks! 😁 The viewpoint overlooking the islands was breathtaking. 😍

The guides really go above and beyond. They take photos of everyone, help whenever needed, and genuinely take care of you as if you were family. Huge respect to the whole team! 👍🏻
