Island tour on powerful open jeeps
Every tourist coming to a new place wants to get to know it better, learn its history and visit the main attractions. The most convenient way to see the whole of Koh Samui in one day is a jeep safari sightseeing tour on powerful 4WD jeeps that can go where a regular bus will never reach. We offer two programmes to choose from: the classic island route and a tour that includes an elephant camp visit.
Big Buddha Temple and Plai Laem
The first stop on the classic route is the most famous attraction on Koh Samui - the Big Buddha Temple. Locals believe the 12-metre Buddha statue is the guardian of the island. The statue stands on a small islet connected to Koh Samui by a causeway. At the base of the statue you will find many small stalls selling souvenirs to suit every taste and budget.
Wat Plai Laem is a Buddhist temple complex home to the famous statue of Guanyin, the 18-armed goddess of mercy and compassion. The artistic techniques used in building the temple have a centuries-long history rooted in ancient beliefs. The complex is surrounded by a lake teeming with fish - you can feed them by buying a tray of fish food for 10 baht from the vending machine on the temple grounds.
Namuang Waterfall
Namuang Waterfall 1 is one of the most scenic natural attractions on Koh Samui. Water cascades down surrounded by tropical jungle, forming a cool natural pool at the base where you can refresh yourself. This is a perfect opportunity to escape the summer heat and take stunning photographs among the greenery.
Grandfather and Grandmother Rocks
Grandfather and Grandmother Rocks (Hin Ta Hin Yai) is a legendary natural landmark on the southern coast of the island. There is a local belief that making a wish for a child beside these rocks will make it come true. Couples from all over the world travel here for exactly that reason!
Secret Buddha Garden
The Magic Garden, also known as the Secret Buddha Garden, is a true discovery for first-time visitors to the island. It was created by a talented farmer named Nim Thongsuk, who dreamed of building a piece of paradise on earth. Dozens of stone statues of Buddhist figures are scattered among the tropical greenery, each with its own story. The farmer worked on his garden until the very last day of his life and passed away at the age of 91.
Teepangkorn Temple Viewpoint
The final stop of the route is a thrilling 4x4 off-road safari through the mountains. The powerful jeeps will take you to the island's summit - Pra Buddha Teepangkorn temple at 605 metres above sea level. A panoramic view of the entire Koh Samui will open before you - a vista accessible only to birds.
Elephant Camp
The elephant programme includes a visit to the ethical Samui Elephant Home, where elephants live in natural conditions without being forced to perform. You will prepare food for them with your own hands - chopping fruit and vegetables and rolling sticky rice balls - and personally feed these magnificent animals. It is a warm and unforgettable experience that children especially love. The programme also includes a visit to Wat Khunaram temple, which houses the preserved mummy of a monk who died over 40 years ago.
