Flyboard Koh Samui - What It Is
A flyboard is a jet-powered board connected by a hose to a jetski. The jetski's powerful water pump creates pressure that literally launches you into the air - up to 5-6 metres above the surface of the sea. By shifting your body weight you control the direction of flight, dive into the water and climb back up like a dolphin, or simply hover above the waves gazing at the Koh Samui coastline from above. Flyboarding is one of the most spectacular water activities on Koh Samui, guaranteed to deliver adrenaline and incredible photos.
How a Session Works
After arriving at the beach, the instructor fits you with the right equipment and delivers a full briefing: how to stand on the board, maintain your balance and steer. This takes around 5 minutes - and most beginners are ready for their first take-off straight away. Then your session begins: 15 or 30 minutes of pure flight time above the water. You can fly, dive, hover in the air or try more advanced manoeuvres. The instructor is with you throughout and adjusts the jetski power to match your level.
Equipment and Safety
Modern certified flyboard equipment is used: secure bindings, a wetsuit where needed, and a life jacket. Personal accident insurance is included in the cost of every session. The experienced instructor controls the jetski power at all times, keeping the experience smooth and safe for beginners.
